Breast Cancer

Breast cancer occurs when cells in the breast begin to grow out of control that allow them to invade nearby tissues or spread throughout the body. Collections of these out of control are called tumors tissues. However, not all breast tumors are considered cancer and some types of large cells can not be spread or threaten a person's life and this kind of tumor is called benign tumor. Moreover, tumors that can spread throughout the body or invade nearby tissues are considered cancer cells and are malignant. Cancer cells usually comes from the glands or ducts, either in the breast is why it can take months or even years for a tumor that was announced in the chest. Breast tumors are selected with the use of mammograms that are fairly accurate in screening for cancer or tumor cells.
Women are much more likely to develop breast cancer than men. Only 1% to 2% of men are known to have cases of breast cancer. Some factors that contribute to the onset of breast cancer and these are: the snuff, alcohol and exposure to radiation. Women who smoke increase their chances of getting breast cancer. Besides, a high intake of alcohol has been proved to be a source of breast cancer. Exposure to radiation is another factor that contributes to breast cancer. Studies have shown that women and children who have undergone high-dose radiation therapy have a much greater chance of having breast cancer.
